The latest installment of ABFA’s ongoing video series continues to tell the stories of innovation of the burgeoning advanced biofuels industry through the companies producing renewable gallons and breaking ground on new facilities – our members. Today we profile Viesel Fuel, which operates the only facility in the world using a combination of enzymes and

Visit our booth #111 AND LEARN MORE ABOUT THE VIESEL FUEL ENZYMATIC TECHNOLOGY The benefits of enzyme catalysts in the production of biodiesel have long been apparent, but until now their adoption on a commercial scale has not been economically feasible. Viesel’s process has demonstrated that enzymes are an exciting catalyst that requires less energy

The 2014 International Biomass Conference & Expo is pleased to offer conference attendees two compelling industry tours on Thursday, March 27. Viesel Fuel Featured tour facility for the International Biomass Conference where attendees will have an opportunity to see a biodiesel facility pioneering an enzymatic pathway to fuel production. Industry tours are opportunities to see

In Florida, Viesel Fuel has developed a biodiesel production process using enzymes to produce at a rate of 5 MMgy, in collaboration with Novozymes and Tactical Fabrication. The technology recovers and reuses the enzymes to catalyze several batches, making enzymes affordable, with resin-based technology used to bring the crude biodiesel technology up to ASTM specifications.

Viesel Fuel, in collaboration with Novozymes and Tactical Fabrication, has developed and implemented a biodiesel production process using enzymes to produce at a rate of 5 MMgy. The company says its process can be easily scaled to larger capacities. Enzyme-catalyzed biodiesel production has long been on the cusp of revolutionizing the way biodiesel is produced.
